In the Summer of 2012, the Waldo Canyon Fire destroyed 347 homes and burned 18,247 acres of land in Colorado Springs. It was considered the most destructive fire in Colorado state history, until being surpassed one year later by the Black Forest Fire. TO BUILD A HOME chronicles the events of the fire and the rebuilding process that is currently ongoing. The individuals in this film all lost their homes to the fire and I'm grateful for their willingness to be a part of this project.
